Abortion Statistics:

For abortion statistics, I went on the website www.abortionno.org/Resources/fastfacts/html. I learned that there are about 42 million abortions a year world wide, about 115,ooo a day. In the United states, there were about 1.37 million in 1996, about 3,700 a day. Protestant women are 37.4% of all the abortions in the United States, Catholic women are 31.3%, Jewish women are 1.3%, and women with no religion are 23.7%.  Most women that get abortions are not married, 64.4% and 1% of all abortions are because of rape or incest.

Abortion Research Blog:

I did my research on my topic, abortion, for the project "A Modern Proposal".  I went on the website  http://www.justfacts.com/abortion.asp and learned about what the supreme court says about abortion. The supreme court say that abortions are permissible for any reason a woman chooses until the point the fetus becomes able to live outside of its mother, this is the Roe vs. Wade law. Another law is Planned Parenthood vs. Casey which states a minor seeking an abortion requires a concent of one parent and a married woman seeking an abortion has to tell her husband that she is going to abort the fetus.
